Mama Said Sew started on a trip to downtown Fort Collins, Colorado, also known as "Old Town". It is a fun, lively place, filled with specialty shops, restaurants and the cutest little fabric store we had ever seen. It just so happens the name of that store is "Mama Said Sew". Perfect! Perfect for that store filled with modern, fresh fabric and perfect for the name of a fabric collection. So after a few weeks of contemplating, we finally got brave enough to ask the owner if we could use her store's name for our next collection. Thankfully, she said yes. So thank you, Angela, for your kindness and generosity! Mama Said Sew celebrates everything we love about sewing. The black, red and gray go wonderfully together, but we are most excited to make two color quilts- red and white, black and white, or gray and white quilts that are amazing, timeless and so striking.

QuiltEssentials.etsy.com: Lotta Jansdotter's Bella for Windham... Tipu Birds, Dots & Flowers
- Windham Fabrics
We have spent the last few months creating these fabric designs and we are thrilled to be able to officially introduce the collection to you and the rest of world. It is a very exciting process to develop these collections. There are so many things to consider when you assemble it all: the scale of the patterns, the colors, the "feel" of the collection, among many aspects. It is a big puzzle of colors and patterns, and I really enjoy solving it.
